Shell-and-tube (also known as tubular)heat exchanger is mainly composed of a shell,a tube bundle,a tube sheet,and a sealing head.The shell is mostly round,with parallel tube bundles or spiral tubes inside,the two ends of the tube bundle are fixed on the tube plate.The two kinds fluids that exchange heat in a tube and shell heat exchanger,one flows in the tube and its stroke is called the tube side,one flows outside the tube and its stroke is called the shell side.The wall surface of the tube bundle is the heat transfer surface.
